WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE SLOUCH
FORWARD?
The intervertebral discs
in the spine, which act as shock-absorbers, become dangerously
compressed and could lead to partial or even permanent
damage.
Most of us were taught to sit up straight.
However, it's difficult to work in that position, because
our eyes are too far away from our work.
In order to remedy this, a lot of people slouch forward.
This is harmful, as its pinches the intervertebral discs
and compresses the midriff, impairing digestion and
restricting circulation and breathing. |
